About Us
Morning Glory Children is a play based early childhood center specializing in strengthening, supporting, and nourishing young children between the ages of 0 and 6 and their families so they may set their own balanced and healthy course in the fast-paced world we live in.
Our programs are dedicated to the education of each individual child, using the indications of Rudolf Steiner's philosophy on child and human development.
Our greatest intention is to build a strong foundation during the early years so that each child will be equipped to journey through many years of schooling with the proper tools to unfold into a young adult, well balanced, and with a love for learning that will last a lifetime.
Core values
Because children learn through imitation during the early years, our kinder-garden environment is dedicated to creating a space that nourishes each child developing needs. Our learning space is filled with items, which have been carefully selected to nourish and nurture the child's imagination, building a foundation for a love of learning which imbues each individual throughout their life. Each activity, each movement, every song, verse, finger-play and story, craft material and toy, each meal is prepared and chosen with the understanding of the importance of educating this particular age group.

Care of the Senses
Children and adults learn about the world through our senses but the young child needs to learn how to discern between what is a healthy sense impression and what is harmful. Every impression that is experienced at our school is brought in a manner that is appropriate for the young child. Our curriculum enhances the children's sense of touch, sight, sound, smell and taste. One on one activities and group interactions help to build a sense of the individual as well as an awareness for others.
Importance of Play
Play is a child's work so the day revolves around it. Indoor and outdoor play are central to the child's physical and cognitive learning. Both fine and gross motor skills are experienced during playtime. During imaginative playtime artistic activities such as painting, coloring, felting, woodwork and many other crafts are available because the teacher is working herself, creating an environment where the child feels willing to join in the activity on his or her own initiative
Reverence, Rhythm, Repetition
Reverence, rhythm and repetition are the main focus of the kinder-garden program: Reverence for all that is alive and in the world, rhythm and repetition because we know this is how young children learn best.
